I have no words
In a world where we co-exist and and are connected to all. Where we share 50% of our DNA with trees and the energy which courses through everything courses through our soul. Where our existence is dependant on the green world. Innumerable species are rapidly declining and we’re pushing the Earth to the brink…
The video says it all.
With every splinter, every cracking limb and torn bark, my heart is shattered into infinite pieces. I feel every wound, the anguish and I cannot bear the noise.
How do I heal this?
Is love enough?
How do I tell the green world everything is okay?
How does so much destruction regenerate?
How do we heal our fractured relationship with the world?
Why are we not begging for it’s forgiveness?
I have no words…
…only sadness.
“I don’t understand why when we destroy something created by man we call it vandalism, but when we destroy something created by nature we call it progress.”

What a powerful and sad story of the destruction of something beautiful. You tell the story so well, even though it is painful to see. I do hope that nature rebounds quickly and that this hedge is reborn. But how awful, the needless butchering! ????????
I see this every day as it’s outside our house and everyday I find it sad and appalling. It’s not improved and won’t any time soon. It will take years to recover that’s assuming it’s wounds heal or it doesn’t suffer another butchering.
I still have no words other than to say this. It just about sums up the attitude to and the state of nature in this country. If people can get away with it they will and they don’t give a damn. They claim to be ‘custodians of the land’ and ‘doing their bit for nature’. The very same people who then pollute rivers, chuck rubbish all over the verge and endlessly spray dandelions with weedkiller to name just a few things. They talk the talk but don’t walk the walk never connecting the dots. I’m not yelling at you Paula, I just find it endlessly frustraiting. Why as humans, as a collective can’t we do better. For ourselves as a species and everything we share our our world with?
Oh my life! Why in the world would they do this ???? that’s not a trim so the cars don’t get scratched that’s terrible! It’s all chewed up too ???? – nature hopefully will find a way ????????????????????????
I have no words Bee.
For me it’s just sheer destruction of a living organism. It does not project into the road it never gets chance to do so, only upwards. Now that is gone. I will never, never understand it no matter what the explanation may be. I admire your optimism, I hope nature DOES reclaim her right to grow and thrive just like all things. x
